Can I change the name on my Bold.org account?

Yes. You may need to update your name for reasons like:

  • A legal name change (e.g., due to marriage)

  • A spelling correction from when you first registered

  • A parent or guardian's name was used instead of yours during signup

To request a name change, contact Support from the email address registered to your account. This is required to verify your identity.

Can I change the email address on my Bold.org account?

Yes. Common reasons for an email change include:

  • Lost access to a school email after graduating

  • A typo in the email you originally registered with

  • Wanting to switch to a permanent personal email for long-term access

Your email address is your primary login credential and the main way Bold.org communicates with you about scholarships and account updates β€” so keeping it current is important.

How do I request a name or email change?

  1. Send a message to Support from the email address currently registered to your account

  2. Let us know what you'd like updated (name, email, or both)

  3. If requesting an email change, include the new email address you'd like to use

For security, requests must come from your registered email address. If you're contacting from a different email, we'll ask you to resend from the one on file.

How long does it take?

Name and email changes are typically processed quickly once your identity is verified. You'll receive a confirmation once the update is complete.

What if I need to change both my name and email?
