Your Bold.org account is your gateway to scholarships, Bold Rewards, and a personalized student experience.
This guide covers the key things you can do with your account — from getting started to making changes and managing your preferences.
Creating Your Account
Getting started on Bold.org is free and straightforward:
Sign up at bold.org using your email address
Verify your email by clicking the link in the verification email
Complete your profile to unlock scholarship matches and Bold Rewards
Once you're signed up, you can browse scholarships, build your profile, and start earning Bold Points right away.
Verifying Your Email
After signing up, you'll receive a verification email:
Subject: "Verify your email - Bold.org"
From: welcome@verify.bold.org
Click the link in that email to activate your account. The link never expires, so even if you find it days later, it will still work.
If you can't find it, check your spam or junk folder. If you still need help, contact Support.
Your Profile
Your Bold.org profile helps match you with relevant scholarships and keeps your account information up to date.
From your profile and account settings, you can:
Update your photo — head to My Profile, hover over your image, and click "Change photo"
Edit personal details — click the information section below your profile photo
Change your address — go to Settings > Contact Info
Manage email preferences — go to Settings > Notifications

Making Changes to Your Account
Name or Email Changes
If you need to update the name or email on your account (due to a legal name change, typo, or lost access to a school email), contact Support from your registered email address. This is required for identity verification.
Email Preferences
You can manage what emails you receive from Bold.org in your Notification settings. Unsubscribing from one channel automatically applies across all communication channels.
Deleting Your Account
If you'd like to delete your account, you can do so directly from your Account settings. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be reversed — all data, applications, and profile information will be removed.
