Note: Be sure to start from the button in your dashboard. If you go to SoFi’s® website on your own and open an account there, we can’t connect it to you, and you won’t get the $70. Make sure your browser has cookies enabled before you click.

Most people finish the application in a few minutes. You’ll need to be 18 or older, and it has to be a new SoFi® Checking & Savings account — if you’re already a SoFi® banking customer, you’re not eligible. SoFi® will ask you to verify your identity along the way.

This is the step that actually unlocks both rewards, so don't forget to complete that $10 deposit.

Your $10 deposit has to arrive one of these two ways:

Peer-to-peer (P2P) transfers don’t count. If you send yourself money from Venmo, PayPal, Apple Cash, or Square Cash, it’ll show up in your SoFi® account, but it won’t qualify you for the offer. This is the most common way people miss out, so it’s worth double-checking how you’re sending the money.

Already funded your account with a P2P transfer? You can still qualify — just make another deposit the right way, as long as you’re still inside your 5-day window.

Both rewards go out within 14 days of your qualifying deposit posting.

Your gift card email comes from rewards@reward.tremendous.com. It’s worth adding that address to your contacts now so it doesn’t land in spam later.

I opened my account but haven’t deposited yet. Am I still eligible?

Yes, as long as you’re within 5 days of opening your account. Log in to SoFi® and make your $10 deposit.

I didn’t use a .edu email. Can I still get something?

Yes. You’ll still get the $70 gift card from Bold.org. The .edu requirement only applies to SoFi’s® $30 welcome offer.

I deposited $10 through Venmo. Does that count?

Unfortunately, no — P2P transfers are excluded. If you’re still inside your 5-day window, make another deposit by ACH or debit-card Instant Transfer and you’ll be all set.

It’s been more than 14 days and I haven’t gotten my gift card.

Search your inbox for rewards@reward.tremendous.com, and check your spam and promotions folders — gift card emails often land there. Also double-check that the email address on your Bold.org account is one you can still get into. If it’s nowhere to be found, contact Bold.org support and we can resend it.
