For a full overview, see How Scholarships Work on Bold.org.

Can I edit my application after submitting?

No. Once a scholarship application is submitted, it cannot be edited directly.

However, if the scholarship deadline hasn't passed, you can:

  1. Go to your "My Applications" page

  2. Withdraw your submitted application

  3. Reapply with updated information or a revised essay

This gives you flexibility, but make sure to act before the deadline.

Can I still apply after the deadline?

Unfortunately, no. Once the deadline has passed, applications are closed permanently to ensure fairness for all applicants.

There are always new scholarships being added to Bold.org, so keep checking the site and apply early to avoid missing out.

How do I withdraw an application?

  1. Log in to your Bold.org account

  2. Find the application you'd like to withdraw

  3. Click to withdraw it

After withdrawing, you can resubmit a new application for the same scholarship, as long as the deadline hasn't passed.

Are there any tips for a strong application?

  • Read the question carefully — even similar questions may ask for different details or perspectives

  • Be authentic — write from your own experience

  • Customize your essay — tailor your response to the specific scholarship's mission or criteria

  • Proofread — clear, well-written applications stand out

  • Apply early — don't wait until the last minute

What happens to my application after I submit it?

Once submitted, your application status will show as "Submitted" in My Applications. After the deadline passes, it moves to "In Review" as applications are being evaluated. You can track the progress at any time from your dashboard.
